Q: What do I need to use the PupuPlayer on my site?
A: All you need is a website that supports javascript and a podcast (feed)! There is a custom player available for MySpace users.
Q: How do I display an image on my PupuPlayer Pro?
A: Make sure you declare a namespace by replacing the first node with:
<rss version="2.0" xmlns:pp="http://www.pupuplayer.com/ppexplination-rtf">
In your feed under the <item> tag just add a special tag:
<pp:media image="http://www.mysite.com/myimage.jpg" />
The PupuPlayer will also read your iTunes image tag. If are already configured for iTunes, you don't have to do anything.
Q: How do I create a slideshow on my PupuPlayer Pro?
A: In your feed under the <item> tag just add a special tag with a time attribute:
<pp:media image="http://www.mysite.com/myimage.jpg" time="1:00" link="http://www.mysite.com"/>
This will display myimage.jpg 1 minute into your podcast. If the user clicks the image, they will be taken to mysite.com in a blank window.
Q: Why do I sound like a chipmunk on the PupuPlayer?
A: Flash can only play audio encoded at specific sampling rates. Here is a list of rates you can encode at with no trouble:

Q: I bought the PupuPlayer Pro, now how do I get it?
A: You will receive an email from our staff regarding your account activation within 5 business days of your purchase.
Q: Can I use pngs, progressive jpgs, or gifs in pp:media image attribute?
A: This feature is coming soon! You must have flash player 8+ installed.
Q: My PupuPlayer is not showing a list of podcasts. What am I doing wrong?
A: You probably just need to update your Flash Player to the most recent version. Visit Macromedia Adobe(?) to update your player.
Q: What's the difference between the Free PupuPlayer and the PupuPlayer Pro?
A: The PupuPlayer Pro's 145x145 display is personalized with your podcast's logo. Additionally, you may add a tag in your RSS feed with the URL to an image you'd like to display during a specific podcast. The PupuPlayer Pro also has no branding.
Q: Why would I pay 15 dollars when everything I need is in the Free PupuPlayer?
A: By paying 15 dollars, you're helping us to support podcasters in the future. Additionally, it's less expensive and easier to install than other podcast players.
